Sometimes although a website may look good, it can be difficult to update due to lack of a content management system (CMS), or lack of time to update it. Using the industry leading CMS platform WordPress, we are able to convert static websites into easily update-able websites with a level of automation which will take the sting out of posting.
We decided to revamp one of our picture blog websites, CosplayCavern.com, but rather than design it from scratch, and to show an example of how Cyborg Industries convert existing designs to WordPress, we used a great design published on tuts+, adding all required widgets and added various automation techniques to keep the site updated without needing to post manually several times a day.
To update the website simply drag and drop an image onto the admin area which sets off a chain reaction of automation. A new post with the same title as the image is created, this post contains the image and an excerpt from Wikipedia on the subject. The post is then held in a queue to be published at random 2-3 times a day.
The automated updating process cuts process which would normally take about 30 minutes a day, right down to under an hour each month.
This automation process would be great for websites for photographers and websites for florists allowing you to give your visitors a reason to come back t your website with very little manual website updating.
